A California Reader Is Angered by Senator Edward Kennedy’s Selective Compassion

I saw Senator Ted Kennedy on C-Span last week talking about the number of "undocumented immigrant" deaths (approx. 400/year) he attributes to illegal border crossings. 

Does Kennedy really think his comprehensive amnesty bill will lower the death toll?  If his amnesty ever passes, number of deaths will increase as millions more try to swarm into the US..

As sad as it is that approximately 400 illegals die each year crossing from Mexico into the U.S., that statistic pales in comparison to the thousands of Americans killed each year by illegal alien murders, gang bangers, and drunk drivers.  Some estimate that illegal aliens have killed more than 45,000 Americans since 9/11.

I didn’t hear any compassion from Kennedy for them
