A reader writes:
Surprise, surprise, guess where the
most car thefts take place:
Western states tops in car theft Auto theft rate
dropped nationally last year. West had highest rates of
theft in U.S., CNN.com, May 9, 2006
And another surprise, the
"expert" quoted mysteriously doesn't know why:
"Reasons for the increasing rate of auto thefts in the
west are unknown, said (Frank) Scafidi." But we know
why.
