02/25/08 - A Former Liberal Democrat Explains How Immigration Pandering Turned Her Away From Her Party

From: Leroy Wheat: (e-mail him)

Re: Joe Guzzardi's Column: Diversity Consulting Firms—Laughing All The Way To The Bank

I work for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company based in the Midwest.

For the past decade, our corporate diversity program has grown more and more accusatory towards the whites in our factory.

It is sickening and has made me have racist feelings that I have never felt in my life.

Immigrants—Asians, Mexicans, Muslims—as well as black Americans go virtually unchecked in their job performance and attendance, while we Anglos continually have to toe the line. We're not a union plant so we have no recourse.

Many whites have been dragged into the Human Resources Department for giving "dirty looks" to minorities—or so they ridiculously charge.

We're being harassed, really.

More minorities are hired and promoted into salary jobs to improve the corporate quotas even though some of them are unprepared to be in management positions.

Our American plant manager of twenty years retired and was replaced with a 30-something immigrant. He seems like an okay guy one-on-one but I still have to wonder what his agenda is.

I can't complain openly at work without intense fear of reprisals—I don't want to lose my job.
