Re: Brenda Walker's Bog: Elvira! She's Back In Mexico And Moving On Up

Walker missed three important points in her analysis of my former Chicago neighbor and well-known illegal alien Elvira Arellano.

First, as Walker noted, reports from Mexico confirm that Arellano resigned her position as consultant to the Michoacan "Department of the Migrant" and is a candidate for Mexican Congress.

But the ticket Arellano is running on, the far-left wing Partido de la Revolución Democrática , most certainly is not "center left" as described in the quote Walker cited.

As evidence of its radical agenda, the PRD, as it is known in Mexico, has for the last two years attempted to establish "migrant houses" throughout the U.S.

Second, just how popular Arellano is uncertain.

Apparently Arellano's earlier appointment as a consultant caused a stir in Mexico. The "Department of the Migrant" defended its choice by saying she represents "the link between the agency and the diverse groups for the protection of migrants in the United States and in different parts of the world."

Third and most importantly, Walker completely overlooked that Arellano put the number of Mexicans in the U.S. at 28 million and says: "at least half of them do not have legal status".

Who would know better than Arellano how many Mexican illegal aliens live here?

Small, a Democrat, wrote earlier calling for the removal of Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. Read his letter here.
