A Retired LA Teacher Reminds Us There’s No Verification Of Either Age Or School Attendance For “DREAMers”

Congratulations for making NYT eat their words! One aspect you should emphasize in your campaign to stop DACA is that there is virtually no verification of stated age of Dreamers and their actual attendance records of schools in the USA. It is a free for all.

My ex-students from inner-city schools (where I taught for decades before retiring) often have several CaIifornia IDs as all that is required are Mexican documents easily obtained and forged. Many attend numerous local colleges until “check day” when they disappear.
This scam can be repeatedly numerous times as these colleges make no attempt to share enrollment information particulars. College administrator pay is based on enrollment numbers so there is no incentive for them to check.
