Another even more pointed comparison of cost of building
a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border is this:
Marine One helicopter fleet, totaling
23 VH-71 aircraft, will cost $6.1 billion.
In other words, the Congress is willing to appropriate
almost double the cost of a border wall (estimated by
Rubenstein to be $3.3 billion) to protect one man and,
of course, his entourage of sycophants.
But the cost of shielding the country from a literal
invasion of illegal aliens is characterized as too much
of an expensive and burdensome.
