You know you are over the target when you're getting flak, as WWII bomber pilots used to say. Telling inconvenient truths, particularly about immigration and culture, can frighten people-even when they secretly agree. Diversity dogma rules!

And VDARE.com does take flak. That's why we can't expect support from cowardly Establishment sources. That's why we depend on you-our readers.

Obviously, the Diversity Dogma is a huge problem among Democrats. (I'm a Berkeley ex-hippie and I was one of VDARE.com's house Democrats until very recently. I just couldn't stand the ethnic tribalism anymore).

But surprisingly, many who self-identify as "conservative" at least pay lip-service to the multiculturalist fantasy that all cultures of humanity are Equal-and that if we could just all join hands Kumbaya-stye, paradise would break out like measles.

VDARE.com is a voice of sanity in this crazy world. Here, the borderless planet utopia so beloved by immigration enthusiasts is studied with a critical eye. The sacred cows of immigration and diversity are routinely barbecued under the searing gaze of VDARE.com writers.

On VDARE.com, one of the topics I get to write about is immigrant crime-a topic that makes many Beltway immigration patriots leave the room-about which our government refuses to collect data-which the MainStream Media [MSM] routinely suppresses even when dangerous suspects are still at large-but not VDARE.com!

Our elites find the prevalence of immigrant and illegal alien crime distinctly inconvenient. It violates their blind belief that all cultures are equal.

But I say that's a dangerous fantasy-and one easily disproved by observing the position of women in society around the world. (I told you I was a Democrat!)

When it come to committers of crimes, whom the MSM wishes to leave mysterious, VDARE.com writers lift up the rock and see what lies underneath.

Was the thug an illegal foreigner or a "person of color"? Did the police require an interpreter? VDARE.com's fearless sleuths look for the answer. We have a whole blog category devoted to exposing MSM suppression of these un-PC truths.

The MSM in particular subscribes to the stereotype that only white people can commit so-called "hate" crimes. When a couple of American "haters" beat Ecuadoran immigrant Jose Sucuzhanay to death in New York City, I had to look for days in the press to find mug shots of the perps. It turned out they were black.

As I've pointed out in many VDARE.com articles and blogs, criminals come to America for the opportunities-just as tech workers do. If you are going to steal, it's better to do so in an upscale neighborhood, not a dusty pueblo. So Mexicans and other aspirational thieves come north to avail themselves of the glittering homes, cars and shopping centers.

For criminals, the United States is the big leagues, the Super Bowl and Broadway, all rolled up into one inviting package: come and get rich!

But crime committed by immigrants and illegal aliens is more than pursuing their dreams. Many bring an enriching diversity of approach that American criminals are no doubt observing with interest.

One example: ransom kidnapping, a specialty of Mexico. This entrepreneurial activity has been "nearly non-existent" in the United States (USA Today, February 5, 2007). But now it's here-thanks to Mexican culture in criminality. Immigration, especially illegal immigration, has made Phoenix AZ the "kidnapping capital of the US" (KTAR.com, June 25, 2008).

Do you read this sort of frank psychological and cultural analysis of crime in the Dinosaur Media?

Not so much!

It's one small example of why VDARE.com is such a vital resource-and must be supported by all American patriots who want to save their country.

For more expressions of criminal diversity, look no further than your local streets. As I have documented repeatedly on VDARE.com, they have been made sharply more hazardous by immigrant and alien drivers.

Hispanics, and Mexicans in particular, believe that knocking back a dozen or so beers and then driving off on the public roadways is a fine way to demonstrate their macho characteristics to peers. Drunk driving is their part of their culture.

* Marten Kudlis was killed in Aurora Colorado by a drunk-driving Guatemalan illegal alien Francis Hernandez who had been arrested at least a dozen times but never deported. This was a totally preventable crime, because the killer was so obviously a bad man, with 11 different aliases and two dates of birth.

Marten, just three years old and the son of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, was sitting by the window in an ice cream shop when a vehicle driven at 80 mph by created a rolling smash-up of machines that killed him-and also two adults, Patricia Guntharp and Deb Serecky.

* Sister Dennis Mosier was killed in Prince William County Virginia last August by previously arrested drunk-driving Bolivian illegal alien Carlos Martinelly Montano.
 

Montano was supposed to have been deported on two earlier occasions, but was allowed to slip between the cracks. The case was a big embarrassment to Obama Homeland Secretary Janet Napolitano. She had been touting the propaganda that the Administration concentrated on nabbing dangerous criminals rather than job thieves in meatpacking plants. A report on the case was prepared, but it was not released to the public-such is the greater transparency of the Obama administration!

* Tad Mattle, aged 19, and Leigh Anna Jimmerson, 16 were a young Alabama couple killed in April when a previously-arrested drunk-driving illegal alien Felix Ortega crashed into their car and caused it to burst into flames.

* Tessa Tranchant,16, left, and Allison Kunhardt, 17, Virginia Beach teens killed while stationary at a stoplight by previously-arrested Mexican illegal alien Alfredo Ramos.

I carefully excavated these individual stories, buried in the Mainstream Media. And the MSM never looks for the underlying stories-such as the documentable Hispanic predilection for dangerous drunk driving. Our political class prefers to swoon over diversity rather than notice its dark side.

But VDARE.com does the job the MSM doesn't want to do-facing up the cultural blowback from our poorly considered mass immigration policy.

We're not blaming the immigrants, necessarily. Immigration, even in the best of circumstances, can be extremely stressful.

Remember that the immigrant-committed mass murders at Virginia Tech were not a unique event. Another, more recent example, which went straight down the MSM memory hole: The 2009 Binghamton Massacre-in which a Vietnamese immigrant killed thirteen people.

In fact, there have been perhaps a score of these cases over the last couple of decades, involving more than a hundred victims. It's a trend-what we at VDARE.com call "Immigrant Mass Murder Syndrome".

We name it, and we track it. The MSM, normally "trend"-crazy, does not.

The political class wants only good news about immigration-even when it is clear that the immigrants themselves are victims, breaking under unbearable psychological pressure.

The ongoing DREAM Amnesty campaign is just the latest reminder of the political class's inability to tell the truth about immigration and the legislation's downside-because the scribblers are too busy scrounging up cloying sob stories about thwarted valedictorians among illegal aliens. (Who is writing about the American kids they displaced?)

Every political movement requires a diversity of voices to effect change. We of the pro-sovereignty movement have think tanks, political activist arm groups, and a variety of local activist groups. A welcome recent development is the growing connection of grassroots folks with the Tea Parties.

But a patriotic cause also needs a spear point of intellectual leadership-pushing the envelope beyond accepted retro ideology to a reality-based view.

VDARE.com has filled that position with frankness and great honesty.
