Denver Columbus Day parade is on, despite hoax

Updated: 10/08/2009 09:50:55 PM MDTDENVER—A Denver parade in honor of Christopher Columbus is on—despite a phony e-mail that circulated Thursday saying the downtown celebration was canceled for lack of funds.
Since everybody's handing out awards, I'm going to invent the A.J. Liebling Award -- named in memory of the journalist who boasted "I can write better than anybody who can write faster, and I can write faster than anybody who can write better" -- and give it to Mickey Kaus who posted this on Friday at 2:48 AM (Pacific Time):
