They Do Things Better In Spitzbergen

Back when I was a kid in the 1960s, the universal assumption among right-thinking Americans was, "They do it better in Sweden." The blue-eyed utopias of Europe were widely admired for such policies as paying generous welfare to single mothers.

The Supreme Court And The South

Via Instapundit, I see this Clarence Thomas video in which he says that the Court is “very heavily Northeastern" in its mentality.  Thomas is not only the only African-American on the court, but as a native of Pin Point, Georgia, he's also the only Southerner.
